As I’ve blogged previously I recently purchased a new Dell Laptop for work. I’m not a big fan of the trackpad on any laptop so the first thing I threw into the laptop bag was a wireless mouse I had lying around. After a day of using it however I wasn’t happy with it as a solution. There were several times I nearly snapped of the little dongle thingy, plus the inconvenience of losing a USB port when you only have two made me think there must be another solution.

New Dell Laptop
My old laptop was getting a bit long in the tooth and taking longer and longer so I decided it was time to purchase a shiny new one.
After some deliberation and the chance to look at and play with one I decided on the Dell XPS 13. Initial impressions are very good, feels solid, nice screen, good size, lightweight. Everything you’d be looking for in a laptop these days.
Microsoft Exchange 2003 and Outlook Mobile Access
Microsoft has come a long way from the bad old days of Windows 95 and blue screens of death. Recently I had to add a new domain controller to a domain, rename that domain, create a new Exchange server and migrate all the users mailboxes to that new server. All in the space of a few days because the old hardware was crashing constantly and nobody was quite sure how long the hardware would last.
